Sidney Bruhl is a once successful Broadway writer who would kill to be back at the top of his game.  He’s struggling to overcome a dry spell that’s left him with a string of failures and a shortage of funds, when he receives a script from one of his students that has the potential to be a huge hit.  Sidney and his wife convince the young man to collaborate and he eagerly accepts.  Part thriller and part clever comedy, Deathtrap is filled with major plot twists that keep audiences guessing until the final startling moments of the play.

Conna Drama Group

Conna Dramatic Society has competed in the Confines Festival Circuit for the past 6 years. Past productions include Sharon’s Grave, Portia Coughlan, Sive, Stolen Child, Dancing at Lughnasa and The Lonesome West.. The group qualified for the All-Ireland finals with their productions of Sive and Stolen Child. Our director for this seasons’ production is George Peet. Although this is the first time that George has directed for Conna Dramatic Society, he has been an acting member of the group for a number of years. He has directed numerous 1-Act plays for the circuit and has directed for the Bridgeview Players in the 3–Act Open festival circuit.

With a cast of five and an accompanying crew of approximately ten, Conna Dramatic Society’s production of Deathtrap promises a great nights entertainment for all ages.
