Becca and Howie Corbett are struggling to cope with the loss of their four year old son Danny. The presence of Becca’s wayward sister Izzy and none-too-tactful mother Nat, brings a touch of light relief to a painful and poignant story and it isn’t until Becca meets with Jason, the teenage driver of the car that killed Danny, himself troubled by the accident, that she begins to find solace.
Sliabh Aughty Drama Group
Sliabh Aughty Drama Group was founded in 1989 and immediately caused a sensation with their production of The Field by John B Keane, winning all five drama festivals entered and coming second in the All Ireland Finals. Having enjoyed considerable success in its early years with productions of The Honeyspike and I do not like thee Dr Fell, he group returned to the festival circuit in 2004 following a break. Recent productions include The Lonesome West, Moonshine, Unforgiven, The Salvage Shop, Plaza Suite and The Year of the Hiker.
2012 has been the group’s most successful season in recent years, earning them a place in the All Ireland Finals in Shercock with their production of Thy Will be Done. The group stage three shows annually and are regular participants on the Irish drama festival circuit.
